The 2018 FCA National will be held at the Marriott at the University of Dayton.

You may use the link below to reserve your room. Our FCA rate is $112+tax per night. The show dates are Friday and Saturday June 29-30, 2018, with possible club activity on Thursday evening as well. We’ve arranged for our rate at this Marriott to be available between June 24 and July 3 so you can plan extra time for local opportunities and visiting with Club friends you may only see once a year. Call 1-800-450-8625 or click on the link below.
UPDATE NOTE: The hotel is currently sold out some of our nights. Call Ms Liston at 937-449-5572directly for the waiting list for a room. The hotel is filling waiting list requests as cancellations occur.
If you have already reserved, but one or more of your nights is at a higher rate than our group rate, please email Jane at fca@fairlaneclubofamerica. Provide the name on your reservation, dates, confirmation number(s), and prices. We will have the rate adjusted to the group rate.

Book your group rate for Fairlane Club

NOTE: When you use the e-booking link to reserve your room, enter your check-in and check-out dates and number of rooms needed, then hit “Check Availability”. This will take you to the screen which says “Guest Room, 1 King or 2 Queen.” Then, when you hit “Select,” you will be taken to the Review Reservation Details screen. At the top right corner, there is a button to “Make Request” or “Edit Request(s).” Click on the Request button and choose your room type preference. The screen will then show “Guaranteed” if the room type is available. Once all of the 2 Queen beds or Kings are reserved, it will say “Requested” instead of “Guaranteed.” If you somehow miss this step you can always call the hotel to add your request to your reservation. The KEY is, Reserve early to have your choice of room types!

April 2018 Update:

We’re getting ready for our 2018 National Meet in Dayton, Ohio! Just imagine the beautiful showfield filled with ’62-’76 Fairlanes, Torinos, Cyclones, Talladegas, wagons, Hipos, sports coupes, sedans and hardtops, Concours restorations and diamonds in the rough—roaring reds, glorious yellows, brilliant blues, sparkling whites, and all the golds, greens, burgundies and blacks shining in the late June sun! How could you miss this?!

We’ll be at The Marriott at University of Dayton, 1414 S Patterson Blvd, Dayton, Ohio, 45409-2105, June 29-30, 2018. Our FCA rate at the Marriott is $112+tax per night. Click the link on our June Event Calendar at the Club’s website, or call 800-450-8625. Request the Fairlane Club of America rate, available 6/24-7/3. (As of 2/26/18 rooms at our rate are available all days, but don’t delay, the hotel is filling! 4/2/18 rooms are nearly gone, reserve asap!) With extra days to explore, you may want to download or request a copy of the Dayton Convention and Visitors Bureau’s 2018 guide to local places of interest at www.daytoncvb.com/maps-and-info/visitors-guide/.

It’s important that you pre-register if at all possible. Our Club Room, with Registration, Raffles, Club Store and more, is staffed by your fellow members (and You!), volunteers—who are also at the National to enjoy being on the showfield, visiting with fellow enthusiasts, and participating in events such as the cruise over to the National Museum of the Air Force on Friday. That means our Club Room hours are flexible, dependent upon staffing. You can save both your time and the volunteers’ for the fun stuff by pre-registering for the show. Make sure you have identified your Class, and send your form and payment to the FCA Office (in Texas) to arrive by June 11. And plan on doing your part to help make this the very best show yet. It’s a great way to meet more of your fellow Fairlaners.

Choosing a class: Most cars will enter Participant-Voted classes. If your car is not being entered in the Original or Concours judged classes (see the judged class requirements on the Club’s website under Archives), begin with the “S” classes. If your car does not fall into one of the “S” classes, go to the “Y” class list and find the correct designation for your vehicle there. Fill in the red portion of the pre-registration form ONLY if your car is being submitted for the “C” or “O” judged classes.

Don’t forget to pick up a non-perishable item or two from your hometown for our National Grocery Guess. Bring a slip noting the price paid for your item(s). If your county or state is famous for a product, bring one!

Here’s our schedule of events. Changes or additions will be on our Event Calendar, and will be published in the May-June Fairlaner. A Friday evening cruise-in is a possibility, so watch for updates.

Our thanks to our 2018 local coordinator, Warren Mansfield. Warren has been searching out spots of interest for our enjoyment and exploration while in Dayton, venues for other local events, and has prepared a list of local breakfast, lunch and dinner options close to the hotel. February 2018 Update:

Local events at this time include a cruise on Friday morning to visit the awe-inspiring National Museum for the United States Air Force. We’ll line up at 9 am and caravan over together at 9:30 am. No fee to tour the buildings full of displays chronicling the exciting history of aviation. We will park together there, adding our own bit of transportation history for those visiting the museum on Friday. USAF National Museum: www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/

Plans have changed for Thursday evening as the race venue is holding a “Night of Fire” test and tune with Jet Cars, Nitro Funny Cars and Fireworks ($20 Gen. admission; $25 Tech card) rather than their usual Test and Tune. If that offering rings your bells, you are free to attend on your own. Meanwhile, we are looking into other possibilities. Kil-Kare Raceway: https://www.kilkare.com/

For more on-your-own exploration, there’s America's Packard Museum - a restored Packard dealership with many old Packards on display along with tools and equipment typical of a Packard dealership. Open 12 - 5 daily, and a short drive from the hotel. www.americaspackardmuseum.com/

And there’s the Carillon Historical Park just down the street from our hotel, where there’s much to see including a 1912 Cadillac featuring an electric starter, invented in Dayton. https://www.daytonhistory.org/

Our main event is our National Meet Car Show 8 am - 4 pm on Saturday, June 30, at the hotel, followed by our Hall of Fame inductions and Awards Presentation, raffles and door prizes at 7 pm. You won’t want to miss any of it, it’s a fun time for all.

Most members will register their cars in participant-voted classes, while some prefer the judged Unrestored Original or Concours classes (please see the guidelines on the club website if you are considering entering your car in a Judged class).

Determine the class you will be entering before filling out your Pre-Registration form, as this is required info to register your car for the show. Mind the deadlines for pre-registering (6/11/18), and for reserving your room at the hotel (5/25/18). All club members are welcome to register for the show and to bring your families, even if you aren’t bringing a club car this time. Note: All members attending should register; there is no charge for family/friends attending with a member; you must be a club member to register for the show (new members are always welcome to join and participate); and all club cars on the showfield must be Ford-powered. (Pre-Registration form is in Fairlaner magazine, and will be pinned at the top of the Watercooler forum.)

As mentioned previously, there are new fees this year to accommodate the increased cost of securing locations and services for our show, but any who have attended know that the Fairlane Club National is well worth this small investment.

Summer’s on its way, so plan to come and enjoy everything from the Kids’ Hot Wheels® Mini-Drags event on Saturday; Friday’s outing to the USAF National Museum; and lots of great fellowship around our club cars. It’s the place to see the newest FCA Club Store items for sale, including our awesome 2018 National tee-shirt designed for us by Joel Napstek! And we’ve been told to watch for some new fun and exciting raffle and door prizes as well. Hoping to see you in Dayton!
